SusCritMat aims to educate people from Master’s student level up, both in industry and academia about important aspects of Sustainable critical raw materials. In a novel concept, it introduces courses on these complex and interdisciplinary topics in a modula structure, adaptable to a variety of different formats and accessible to both students and managers in industry. These courses will develop new skills which will help participants to better understand the impact and role of critical raw materials in the whole value chain; enabling them to identify and mitigate risks. The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS) will host the third installment of the IRTC roundtable at the TMS 2019 Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The topic will be “How Does Industry Manage Criticality in Product Development?” All TMS 2019 registrants are invited to attend this roundtable session and participate in the discussion. ESM acted as Guest Editor for a special issue on “Critical Raw Materials” of the Elsevier journal “Sustainable Materials and Technologies“. Several members of the Foundation contributed to the seven publications comprised in this issue. It can be found online (open access) here.
