ESM, as Coordinator of the education project SusCritMat, would like to get your contributions in an online survey. The survey results will contribute to the development of new teaching materials and courses available to all. Complete the survey before the July 31 deadline and you will receive a free sustainability case study, part of the recently-developed Sustainable Development Active-Learning Tool Kit.

Dr. Bruno Walser, Past President of ESM, has received the “Outstanding Achievement Award” by the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW at their General Assembly on May 9, 2017. Dr. Walser has been individual member of SATW since 1999 and member of the project committee since 2012.
In April 2017, the ESM team has experienced several changes. After almost 30 years, ESM president Dr. Bruno Walser and CEO Dr. Margarethe Hofmann resigned from their positions. The new president of ESM is Dr. Ernst Lutz, former advisor of ESM and member of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Lutz, after being CEO of the EIT Raw Materials from 2015 to 2016, is Vice Executive President at Grundfos in Bjerringbro, Denmark, but stays closely connected to his home country Switzerland.
